Patti Jane was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and grew up in Deane Hill.
At Webb School of Knoxville, Patti Jane earned the honor of Salutatorian
and traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for her undergraduate studies. Patti Jane
graduated from the honors program at Emory University with a double major in political science
and English. In 1979, she graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law where she
was a member of Law Review and Moot Court. After her bar admission, Patti Jane became a
shareholder with Kennerly, Montgomery, and Finley, P.C. where she practiced in the areas of
products liability and civil defense. In 1995, Patti Jane started her own law firm and developed a
family, probate, and mediation practice. Her husband, John Thomas Baugh, and her three
children currently live in Knoxville. Patti Jane enjoys tennis, pickleball, and playing with her
English Labrador Retriever (Dusti).
