History
Lay & Baugh Law was established in 1995 by Patti Jane Lay and J. Thomas Baugh, who left partnerships in other firms to form the new law practice. The firm began with a focus on litigation, mediation, and utilities law then expanded into probate matters, business collections and criminal matters.
Today, the newest area of practice is collaborative divorce, which helps clients settle divorce and custody issues outside of the courtroom setting.
Lay & Baugh Law practices in 10 counties in East Tennessee. John Edwin Baugh joined the firm in 2013.
